PREPARE YOUR HOME:

CHECK LIST AND GUIDE

Your home's marketing will significantly impact your buyers opinion and your sale price.  Preparing your home for a photoshoot will  help improve your listings  and ultimately give your home a selling advantage. Here is a checklist to help this process run smoothly.

INTERIOR

EXTERIOR

  1. Clear and clean kitchen counters and appliances. Remove small appliances, cooking utensils, magnets etc.

  2. Clear and clean bathroom sinks, tubs and showers. Remove personal items, toiletries and towels. Close toilet lids.

  3. Turn on all lights in the home. Replace any lightbulbs if needed and make sure they are the same color temperature within the same room.

  4. Open all window treatments. Clean both sides of windows and remove any objects that might obstruct natural light. 

  5. Remove any unnecessary furniture and decor. Especially personal photos and trinkets.

  6. Make all of the beds. Clean and clear dressers and nightstands. 

  7. We love animals! But hide all pet items such as doggy beds, food bowls etc.

  8. Put away any clothing, shoes, accessories.

  9. Remove any mats or rugs that will cover selling features such as original hardwood flooring. 

  10. Dust, vacuum and/or mop the surfaces and floors/carpets of your home. The camera can pick up these details. 

  11. Conceal power cords and wires. Unplug cords and hide away if necessary

  1. Park your vehicle(s) in front of the home until we are ready to photograph the exterior of your home. This will prevent other vehicles from being in your exterior images. Please be available to move your vehicles when ready for the exterior photographs.

  2. Place trash, compost  and recycle bins out of sight.

  3. Tidy up yard and landscaping. Alternatively, you can schedule a gardener to arrive a day or two before the photoshoot. 

  4. Clean and clear as much clutter as possible in the front, sides and back of house - especially any personal belongings not included in the sale. Sweep all decks, patios, and walkways.

  5. Organize deck furniture and uncover the grill. Turn on any patio lights.
